Question: We are moving to Fort Drum in Sept and I would like to forward my mail there. Does anyone know if po boxes are available and how to get one?
A: The U.S. Post Office on Fort Drum is located in Clark Hall, 10720 Mount Belvedere Blvd, Fort Drum, NY 13602. I recommend you call them at 315 - 772-5220 to determine if you can set that up in advance.
There is also an outlet called THE UPS STORE located on US Rte 11 just outside the Main Gate. I believe they have mailboxes for rent. Their number is (315) 629-0424.

on 01/12/2010 - We moved to Fort Drum in Sept 2008. Prior to the move I contacted the post office on post and was able to get a po box. All of the information was mailed to me and I was able to start forwarding my mail before we left our last duty station. Hope that helps.

(Do a search for 'po boxes online.' Type in Fort Drum, NY, 13602. Select the Fort Drum post office and the size box you want for either 6 months or 12 months. Continue filling out the rest of the form.)
That's what I'm going to do.
I just don't know if I can receive packages there or not.
